Ok, so this is the reason why I started this blog in the first place… as a way to get my life drawings, which usually stay unseen and unloved in my massive sketchbook pile out in to giddy heights of public space! Its late, and I’ve decided to just post all of the drawings that came out of tonights session at Bristol Grammar School courtesy of Will’s (now huge…) life class! So without further ado, welcome to the wibbly world of Dave Cropley…
I should perhaps mention at this point that I’ve been doing this for about 15 years now, so I just draw what the hell I feel like! Also, to any of the life models who ever see my art – I’m sorry! I have a propensity to bring out the worst in whoever I draw, I don’t know why I do it, its just my ‘thing’. It was nice tonight, I haven’t been to life class for nearly a year (I think… who knows, feels like it) which is way too long; but thankfully it was like slipping on a comfy pair of slippers!
Here’s what popped out, pretty much in order form start to finish… I hope you enjoy this first foray into the world of my life drawings!
