I’ve just recently updated all of my films to Hi-res versions on the youtubes so I thought I’d post up my last showreel from when I was a freelance flash animator as fishboyfilms in early 2008. I wanted to do something a little different so I edited AC/DC’s ‘back in black’ down to a minute and a half and cut a rock video! Still raises a smile every time I watch it – good times :D
Hi
I just found your blog while looking for info on intaglio printmaking. It’s good to see another printmaker with an animation training! Did you go to The Bristol Animation Course? I was there 12 years ago (cripes!) but haven’t forgotten any of it, I suppose its like learning to ride a bike- bloody hard but never forgotten.
Rebecca.
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for dropping by :D
I didn’t go to the Bristol Animation Course, but I did move to Bristol and start working for Aproductions (A for Animation) in 1999… 12 years ago. If I’ve got my facts right, I dare say you were on the same course as my good friend Dave Vinicombe. The animation industry, especially in Bristol is such a small world.
Dry point etching and intaglio printmaking has been an itch that I’ve been been needing to scratch for a long time… I’m finding Spike Print to be just what I’m looking for.
All the best,
Dave C
