Firstly – thank you to everyone who voted in the poll in my previous post, its a massive step in the right direction :D
Here are the pics from tonight’s session. Felt very low stress, I was really trying to not worry about doing good drawings and just getting on with it.
I used a mixture of Brush Pen, a black Sharpie and watercolours. I’m using a different brand of paper this time round and its subtly different in texture and feel. More absorbent, less ‘accurate’ but dries much faster.
This will probably be my last 10 week term for a good while as another micro noise human will be joining the family around the start of Autumn xx
if this is you not worrying about doing good drawings … wow love them :)
Wow – thanks! But yes, trying to break the habit of a lifetime making things ‘perfect’ (there is no such thing) and simply just having fun instead – its really liberating :D
i think when you do the the best stuff happens! im loving these. :)
Amazing – thanks for your comments (warm fuzzies!)
These are terrific. I’m inspired to get back to water colours in life drawing again. haven’t used them for years. And congratulations on the imminent micro human :D
Thanks Rosie! I’ve been working up to watercolours for many years. I’m confident enough to not worry about my drawings nowadays, so the looseness and uncontrollability of watercolours is really appealing. I only get 15mins per pose, so I don’t have time to noodle. Give it a shot! And thanks for the kind words on my new noise human xx
I will 😁
