2014 was the year of paint, colour and canvas. Hard work, but bloody good fun. I’m mostly pleased with just about everything from this year. Which is high praise indeed from me.

The tentative plan for next year is to play. I want to stick to paint (or colour at least) but try out lots of different surfaces, sizes and techniques to see what happens. I fancy some big chinese Sumi-e ink work which will be a real challenge, and its not colour, but I should be able to work with tone. Maybe dabble in watercolours, but most of all I want to try acrylics on a bunch of different media – wood, home stretched canvas, metal even… who knows. Will be fun finding out.
I’ve been painting. Which is good. I’m also finally starting Life Drawing again tomorrow, which is the main reason I’ve been wanting to start a Blog for so long so I can get my stuff online and seen. *Heart* Life Drawing. More about the that to follow, today we have paint.
Rage Infected Monkey Eye
I’ve got one of those crazy burst blood vessels in my left eye at the moment which is frankly a bit embarrassing. Its called a subconjunctival haemorrhage but looks more like a rage infected monkey eye from 28weeks later. This is how I feel about it, in paint. Will photo in good light when its properly dry. Painted on white box canvas roughly 8″x 8″
