Heh heh, I was just digging through some old files to update the Evansfinch blog and I came across these animated shorts I created in 2008 for 4Mations.tv through Team Rubber and Aardman Digital. Thought I’d pop them up for your viewing pleasure :D Also found out that it was @JamFactory that designed the kittehs… the things you learn on the interpipes! Good times.

Its great fun making these daft pics. When it comes to other people its bizarre what works and what dosn’t. People seem to have this curious knack of fitting the look of certain animals – perhaps its their personalities, maybe its their looks… never have been quite sure! Stay tuned!

I grew up with cats and got to know their personalities well. It rubbed off in my animation work as I loved drawing cats and enjoyed exploring the way they think and move (I got my first job at Aproductions essentially on the strength of a feline character animation test…). I had lots of fun taking silly photos of myself with a digi-cam and photoshopping my head on to images of cats – this is the result!
