Starting to get a bit bored of water colour and line, still enjoying it though
Time to come up with some new experiments… any ideas?
Last session forever tonight, probably. not.
New term starts again in September, but all sorts of stuff is going on round then. Kinda want to do a full year of watercolours, but we’ll see how that goes. Still want to do some live animation flip book stylee.
Watercolours, brush pen and a black Sharpie. As time goes on my flagrant disregard for trying to draw tight pictures grows. And I like it.
Starting to get a ‘little’ bit bored of watercolours already. I’ve got 3 weeks now until the next session so I’m going to have a good hard thunk on what direction to go next. I’m open to suggestions! :D

Mixed bag tonight. Mostly pen and watercolours, but I made a schoolboy error not bringing enough watercolour paper, so there’s some conté crayon and black pencil crayon in there too.
Hopefully I’ll have some fun stuff to post next week that’s not my usual life drawing fare… before the life drawing on Thurs. We’ll see how that goes…

Firstly – thank you to everyone who voted in the poll in my previous post, its a massive step in the right direction :D
Here are the pics from tonight’s session. Felt very low stress, I was really trying to not worry about doing good drawings and just getting on with it.
I used a mixture of Brush Pen, a black Sharpie and watercolours. I’m using a different brand of paper this time round and its subtly different in texture and feel. More absorbent, less ‘accurate’ but dries much faster.
This will probably be my last 10 week term for a good while as another micro noise human will be joining the family around the start of Autumn xx
Just finished another very limited edition of 5 original inkings (and one Artists proof for me). Bought some 100cm x 70cm canvasses the other day and this is a good candidate to try out going big some time soon. This will probably be the last thing I post for the next few weeks, but I’m sure I’ll be champing at the bit to carry on as soon as I’m back from getting married and galavanting around tropical islands! Until then…
