More watercolours tonight
Tried to have a crack without outlines on some of them, some people like it, others didn’t… you never can tell.
Last session next week. Still want to do some animation, but I can’t sort out how I’m going to do it – need a flip book from somewhere.
More watercolours
Tried to go weird. Need to go weirder. Challenge accepted.
Watercolours, brush pen and a black Sharpie. As time goes on my flagrant disregard for trying to draw tight pictures grows. And I like it.
Starting to get a ‘little’ bit bored of watercolours already. I’ve got 3 weeks now until the next session so I’m going to have a good hard thunk on what direction to go next. I’m open to suggestions! :D

I went to see my mate Sam in Sheffield. He’s played keyboard in the ‘little glitches’ for nearly 15 years. They invited me to watch them practise and I did some painting.
It was all the fun.

Mixed bag tonight. Mostly pen and watercolours, but I made a schoolboy error not bringing enough watercolour paper, so there’s some contĂ© crayon and black pencil crayon in there too.
Hopefully I’ll have some fun stuff to post next week that’s not my usual life drawing fare… before the life drawing on Thurs. We’ll see how that goes…

More watercolour shenanigannery tonight. The brush pen I’ve been enjoying using is out of ink, so I tried a few different ways to make lines. Brush pen wins tho.
There’s a thought – Maybe dip pen and ink would be worth a try again. Good idea me. Then do some animation. At life class. Then work out a way of posting it here. Go on then.

That’s it for this term. Next one starts again end of April. I should go. Probably will go. Definitely should go.
Life though. Tiring isn’t it?
Tonight was all about the watercolours. I did the first half with brush pen line drawings as the base, then black pencil crayon in the second half.
Pretty pleased with these for not having touched watercolours since trying to learn them at college nearly half my lifetime ago. Click thumbnails to view larger images:
Note to self: Try doing animation at Life Class next week. No, I don’t really know what will happen – but I want to find out!
