Trolling Banksy

Another day,  another mural by an infamous street artist. Only this time its on the wall of the building where I work. Here it is in all its – already defaced – glory.

It seemed to be lacking something for me. Maybe it was the monochrome, maybe it was tarnished by the vandalism (vandalising graffiti, that’ll never get old…) but what it really had was 100% less lasers than I thought it needed

I reckon the Banksies could have tried a bit harder to be honest. I mean, its only really black and white… so I thought I’d man up and finish off the job. Here you go lovey…

For good measure, here’s how it looked (courtesy of bbc.co.uk/news via Banksy.co.uk) before someone decided to spray black paint all over one side, almost entirely missing the painting. Which wasn’t a deliberate publicity stunt or anything. Nuh-uh. No way sirree bob.

Bristol Nelson Street Art Gallery Block Party

I ♥ the Nelson Street Art project. Proper lovely vibes down there this afternoon. So much effort gone into transforming a drab 80’s concrete jungle into a full on garden party, Brizzle style. Blown away by the astroturf and big blocks of live plants adding to the mix. Big-ups to Bristol City Council (who’d ever thought I’d hear myself saying that!) for having the chops to spend a not insubstantial amount of public cash (word on the street is upwards of 80k) on something so downright cool.
